Hi.. Happy summer to all.. 

We almost there  ..

College students will be waiting for their summer break.. 

Schools will be closing for summers. Kids every where. Cities are getting emptier.. N holiday destinations getting  busier n crowded.

It's a good time for office goers to getup a little later than usual as traffic will be very reasonable n ull reach in time in spite of starting late... 

Speaking of holidays.. Many of us Mumbaikars will /already are planning for the big summer vacy. ..

While that mite be in April. 

There's a long weekend coming up.. ( 29th March to 1st April 2018)

Thursday to Easter Sunday. Woohhooo..!!! 

So getting packed for summer vacy is a completely different ball game compared to the winter /Christmas vacy planning..

1^st things 1st ,there's  no need for warm clothing. So the bags are going to be reasonably lighter (thank god for small mercies. )

So it's going to be either a hot vacy (1. Goa , Pune, etc close destination for a short 4 day vacy destination

2) or slightly more comfortable or cooler in Mahabelshwar, Khandala, or other  hill top locations(Destination 2). 

Northern region in India. So choosing your clothing according to the place is very essential. 

Destination 1 :

is all cottony n dressy stuff

While destination 2 mite require some warm clothings. A throw on (shawl ) n denim Jacket would do the trick. 

A nice pair of jeans will get u through any weather. 

So we will start with the obvious :

The new look donned by jeans trending would be:

1)      Cullots

2)    High waist: 

A) Taper bottoms. b) bootcuts. 

c)bellbottoms d) ripped.

e)patch work f) embroidered .

3)     g) rivets and other metal etc

4)    knee length a)ripped. b)patches 

5)     Shorts denim or khaki.

6)    Boyfriend jeans 

7)     Colours: White, black, blues (all.  shades) , military prints  /camos (camouflaged) ,stripes, checks ,hounds tooth. 

8)     Draw strings or button ups. Elasticwaist bands. 

Now for tops get the different types of statement /exotic neckline trending this season :

§  Off shoulder 

§  One shoulder, 

§  Turtle neck,

§  Frills with boat necks

§  V neck Ts .

Other Types of Ts. 

Ø    Bellsleeves ts.

Ø    Cold shoulder ts

Ø    Cross back s

Ø    Spaghetti straps tops 

Ø    Crop tops .

Ø    Cotton Kurtis 

Ø    T-shirts with message. 

Ø    Body tops 

Summer dresses:

1.With the above-mentioned necklines. 

2. Long dresses (maxi)

3. Medis 

4. Short or knee length 

5. Jump suits short or full-length palazzo tapper or Bellbottom styled for the bottoms

6. Dungarees dresses or pants. (full length or short) 

7. Coords co-ordinated top n bottoms.

  

   Skin care:

       Carry sunscreen n all the heat related lotion S skin and hair products. 

       Always be hydrated.. Eat plenty of the seasonal fruits n veggies. 

Destination 2

When ur booking or choosing holiday destination do check for the temp of the region through ur app so as to choose the kind of jackets n sweaters needed to be packed .. 

1. For really cold places plz refer to my earlier blog for winter wear. 

2. For medium cool places you could work with layering clothes.. 

We can do this with :

• ·        Shrugs (short long )
• ·        Thrown on a shawl or a stole.
• ·        Jackets 
• ·        Large thick denim shirt S with cross back Ts inside and add shirt below the denim shirt, for this combination. You  can also team it with a denim/thicker or a checks /white shirt.
• ·        Also don't forget to accessories with a layered necklace.. 
• ·        N add a hat to this outfit n you've got urself a great look.

 

For bottoms team this up with. 

1.Types of jeans mentioned before  

2. Skirts with leggings n boots

3. Thick leggings with leg warmers. 

4. Dresses with stockings or tights. 

Carry cold creams lotions for the cold.

                                                                                     Let's not forget footwear for the trip. 

1.Comfy sports shoes 

2. Boots at least above ur ankles (woodland ones are really sturdy) with a good rubber grip soles. 

3. Sliders or slippers to walk around ur hotel or near by place. 

4. Party shoes not a necessity but if ur really picky for coordinating ur clothes with shoes then maybe go for sme light weight kitten heels/platforms. Or flats. (heels is are up to ur personal judgement only).

Now for the Main Bag:. 

1. The one tht carries your clothes should be light lesser the self weight the better. 

2. Make sure if ur travelling by public transportation have a small lock n key or a combination for it for safe keeping.

3. Carry a small handbag with ur ID n money n cards keys etc. 

Miscellaneous  travel tips :

1. Fold ur clothes into small folds make room for more luggage. Fold it socks in keep them in ur extra shoes.

2. Roll it jeans n T-shirt s into small cylinders for more space. (fold them into regular T-shirt fold the roll them up) 

3.Carry your own bottle of water. To avoid getting dehydrated while traveling to the destination. N back. 

4. Lotions, shampoos, sunscreen also needed in the cool places.

So hope the bank holiday on 29th n 30th through 1st or 2nd April is a great weekend trip for all. 

All in all a very exciting week ahead so happy shopping n packing.. So let the destination be D1 the fun the beach or destination  be the fun hills D2.
